How do I reserve a lot?

  • Any available lot can be reserved through a Gentry agent. It is a $500 (100% refundable) lot reservation fee, which holds the lot from being taken while product pricing and other questions are processed.

What downpayment is required to begin construction?

  • 10% of the purchase price is required to commence construction, with the remainder due at closing.

Do I have to provide financing during construction?

  • After the down payment, Gentry typically carries the construction loan until closing where the remaining 90% becomes due.

How long does it take to build?

  • Typically it takes an estimated 4-6 months to build a Gentry home, contingent upon weather.

What if I have a home to sell before building??

  • Ask a sales agent about our early commencement of construction option!

Are Gentry built homes energy efficient?

  • You bet! In fact, our homes are some of Indiana’s most energy efficient! We even guarantee monthly heating and cooling bills as low as $52/month! The EPA recently awarded Gentry with a Leadership in Housing award for building over 50 Energy Star homes. What the consumer doesn’t know is that a home can be an Energy Star home, but it is rated from 1 to 5+Stars! Gentry consistently builds a 5+ Star Energy Star home, which beats the EPA’s model energy code by more than 50%!
